Wysong Cat Food Where To Buy LINK

Their only known recall took place in 2009, when several lots of dry food were recalled due to unusually high moisture levels. Because these moisture levels could contribute to premature spoilage and might facilitate mold growth, the affected lots were recalled in an abundance of caution.

Wysong makes and sells a diverse variety of cat foods, including dry, canned, and raw formulations. In addition to a range of product types, Wysong encourages rotational feeding and offers a variety of animal protein sources.

Wysong is adamant about the benefits of minimally-processed foods and offers a selection of raw products for cats. Their raw diets are freeze-dried and never heated above 118 degrees F at any stage of production.

On a dry matter basis, this food is approximately 66.7% protein, 16.6% fat, and 16.6% carbohydrates. These levels are significantly better than those found in most dry foods, but it still contains too much carbohydrate matter for an obligate carnivore.

In fact, when we take a closer look at the nutrient analysis, we see that this food is over 40% carbohydrate, including fiber, on a dry matter basis. At 40% protein, the food is relatively high in the protein cats require, but a good chunk of it comes from plant sources. Its 18% fat content is on the lower end of the spectrum.

Maybe. You can easily find foods that offer more animal-sourced protein, fewer carbohydrates, and which have better palatability ratings than most Wysong products. That said, their innovative Epigen line and most Wysong canned or raw foods could be a great choice.

I,m not sure because this food has so many good ingredients and it has always kept my cats from getting urinary tract issues. There are really no other foods like it.So maybe might stick with this food but just not sure what caused my 8 year old cats death.

I have had my cats on Wysong Uretic over 30 years. It has been a good food until now because recently one of my cats died due to digestive problems. She was detoxing too much and getting skinny..Our vets did a complete blood count on her and found nothing wrongShe died at only 8 1/2 years old of undone causes possibly due to the wysong food.My other 6 year old who is eatting the wysong food is having digestive problems as well.I will be changing brands.

There are also many probiotic strains which help introduce enzymes into the gut to break down the food better and make it more digestible and bioavailable. These are generally considered high quality ingredients.

Cat owners know how difficult it can be to control urologic conditions in cats. Wysong Uretic cat food is specially formulated to be the base for a maintenance diet for cats who are prone to urologic conditions, like Urolithiasis, struvite crystals, bladder stones, feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD), and other similar problems. Wysong foods, including Uretic, are made in the USA at their own facilities with USDA- and FDA-approved domestically sourced ingredients, so you can feel good about what your cat is eating.

Wysong Uretic is formulated to keep your cat's urinary tract healthy. Uretic doesn't have any excess minerals that can lead to the formation of crystals. The formula also helps maintain an acidic urine. When a cat's urine acidity (or pH) is in the correct range, crystals are less likely to form. Uretic cat food helps keep urine pH-balanced, which works against many of bladder and urinary tract problems that some cats are prone to.

I am shocked to read so many complaints about Wysong. I have been feeding my cats Wysong for over 20 years and my cat at her 16th Vet check up, had clear and healthy kidneys, liver and had nothing wrong with her. The Vet was astounded as at the age of 16, they said it was very common to find something wrong. Wysong is not easy to get her in the tropics and fortunately Amazon now ships it. I went years without, and my cats developed struvite crystals. It is true, your cats need to drink their meals in order to stay healthy, and for anyone who just wants a quick fix, dry cat food is never the answer. Wysong is only an additional treat we give our felines, and the rest we go all the way with. As with Dr. Wysong's philosophy of providing your pets with complete and whole meals. You can either purchase that out of a can, or do it yourself and make your pet meals.

However, I have never been disappointed with Dr. Wysong's formulas nor have I ever steered away. If your pet gets the runs, or upset stomach, you might want to consider they are purging and cleansing out, and add a good amount of probiotics to their diets so they can balance out well while they adjust to a complete meal. Consider this, eat a bunch of junk food, then eat a lot of healthy food and see if you don't purge yourself? Seriously, common sense folks. I am sold on Wysong and will continue to feed my pets the best food on the planet. Look up any of the "Natural Pet" food companies and you will discover who really owns them. Not a family who cares, but large corporations skirting around as holistic health food. Thank you Wysong family for caring enough to make a difference!

My middle aged part Main Coone boy had two severe UT blockages. He on Science Diet canned food but still craves dry food. He would not touch SD dry cat food (I, also, had reservations to feeding him the poor quality fillers used in SD dry food products.) He, and his best buddy, are doing really well on the Uretic formula and they both love it. We are at about eight months on the SD can and Wysong dry diet and so far so good.

My cat when younger, had urinary tract infection, and after consulting several vets who wanted to charge me several thousand dollars to correct the problem, I finally found a vet who explained to me that the cat probably wasn't getting enough water, because cats are accustomed to getting water from eating only meat caught in the wild. So he recommended giving him water and watching him... and stop feeding him Wellness as he had seen several cats who ate Wellness food getting urinary tract infections.

I then started feeding him Wysong dry food along with wet food and adding water to the wet food... and problem solved. Hasn't had one problem in 10 years. I highly recommend Wysong Uretic. And as for that last review, I can say it probably was the habit of what was being fed to the cat outside of the Wysong. Most vets don't know what causes these problems. They all just guess. But one thing that most have in common, they always want to go to the extreme expenses.

I just switched cat food because the one I had my cat on (Flint River Ranch) got discontinued. I thought Wysong was a good brand, or at least from what I researched it seemed liked it. Coincidentally, a week later, a very healthy cat has a bladder blockage with urine crystals? The vet confirmed it was more than likely the food. $3000 vet bill later!! Thanks. Worst food ever. Do yourself a favor, skip it!

I ordered ferret food & waited 14 days. When I called they had not shipped it as of yet but they had gotten paid. I was out of ferret food & requested for them to ship next day air & they refused. I canceled the order & asked them for a full refund. Their mistake but they didn't want to correct it. I'll buy my products elsewhere!!! Also the last bag of ferret food gave my ferret the runs badly. I was going to try another bag or switch over to another food choice but they made that choice for me. Stay away from this company. They're going down rapidly. Read the reviews.

Wysong recently changed the formula of their epigen 90 along with the packaging. All 3 of my cats had been doing fine with the old epigen 90, but one of mine developed life-threatening diarrhea and ultimately vomiting requiring multiple vet visits, a trial of antibiotics, cerenia, and immodium, all before switching to a different food which cleared up the problem within 24 hours. The formula change actually killed some ferrets and this is a common occurrence.

I have 2 cats. One of them have a hyper thyroid problem along with renal problems. Would the Epigen 90 be good for him to eat. We had a small sample and he just loved it. Please get back to me about this question. I want to order the correct type of your food for him. Also, where is the beast and cheapest place to get this product from. Thank you so very much for your attention given to this matter. Nancy Pender

I have a cat that is a Diabetic, and one that trouble with urinary Tract , and kidney stones I switched them to Young Again Zero Carb, the diabetic cat is off Insulin now, but the young again Zero Carb causes them to have very loose stool, and the smell will knock you down, this has been going on for about 2 months, I as scared to switch them , afraid the one cat will be Diabetic again, and one cat will not eat canned (I mean no matter what you try), does nay one know a dry cat food that is very low carb?
