Taking Care of Parents Who Took Care of Us
Dear HFG Applicant,
Welcome! Thank you for taking interest in joining our excellent team of caregivers. To fulfill our commitment to service the ever increasing demand for better care for the elderly, we require all our applicants to go through thorough background checks and submission of valid identifications, eligibility documents, and certifications.
To begin, please be prepared to provide the listed items below upon or before the submission of your application.
Two (2) forms of identification:
- 1 Photo ID (ex. U.S. Passport, Drivers License, State ID)
- 1 of the following – Birth Certificate or Social Security Card
Certifications:
If you have a Certified Nurse’s Aide (C.N.A.), Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certifications, please provide them, as well as any other care giving training you may have.
Medical Records:
- Physical exam within the past year
- TB (PPD) skin test with negative results signed by a physician.
We also require our applicants to attend our FREE mandatory care giving training every Thursday, promptly starting at 10 AM followed by a short quiz and a brief orientation. We provide a total of 4 training sessions lasting an hour and a half each. WE REQUIRE all applicants to attend at least 2 (separate day) sessions. Upon completion, you will be issued a certificate for each training session that you have finished. You may use these certificates to any other care giving agencies should you decide to apply elsewhere.

Note that at the end of the 2nd session, you may be asked to be interviewed on video for us to remember who you are. Rest assured that the videos will only be used within the company and won’t be shared to anyone. Topics for the training videos will include – Elder Abuse, Strategies of Homecare (Aging), Body Mechanics, and Infection Control.
